Since Good Friday is a stat holiday and most people in Ontario have the day off work and school, a lot of places across the province are closed.
But quite a few spots are open for people to shop, dine and explore!

Costco:Costco is closed on Good Friday in Ontario.
Walmart: Most Walmart stores are closed on March 29 but a few locations across the province are open to shoppers.

Eaton Centre: Open from 11 am to 7 pm on Good Friday.
Yorkdale: Closed on March 29, 2024.
Sherway Gardens: Closed.
Rideau Centre: This mall in Ottawa is closed on Good Friday.
Square One: Closed.
Bramalea City Centre: Closed on Friday, March 29.
Vaughan Mills: Closed.
Toronto Premium Outlets: This shopping center near Toronto is open from 9:30 am to 7 pm on March 29.
Outlet Collection at Niagara: Open on Good Friday between 10 am and 6 pm
Upper Canada Mall: Open from 11 am to 6 pm
Things to do
Royal Ontario Museum: Open from 10 am to 5:30 pm on Good Friday.
Casa Loma: Toronto’s Casa Loma is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm
Journey Behind The Falls: This attraction in Niagara Falls is open between 9 am and 7 pm
National Art Gallery of Canada: This art gallery in Ottawa is open on Good Friday.
Canadian Museum of Nature: Open in Ottawa between 9:30 am and 4 pm
CN Tower: The CN Tower’s main observation level is open between 10 am and 9 pm on Good Friday.
Hockey Hall of Fame: Open from 10 am to 5 pm
Rouge National Urban Park: This national park — which borders Toronto, Markham, Pickering and Uxbridge — is open every day of the year.
The Distillery District: Open from 12 pm to 5 pm
Butterfly Conservatory: This conservatory in Niagara Falls is open from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday.
Services
Canada Post:Canada Post is closed on stat holidays. So, there is no collection or delivery of mail on Good Friday.
Banks: Banks in Ontario are closed on March 29, 2024.
But you can still withdraw cash from ATMs and access your accounts, pay bills, and more with online banking on the state holiday.
Service Canada: Service Canada locations in Ontario are closed on Good Friday.
ServiceOntario: Closed on Good Friday.
Now that certain ServiceOntario services are online, you can still renew your driver’s license, renew your license plate, renew your health card, and more even when centers are closed.
Transit
TTC: Holiday service is operated on Good Friday.
All TTC routes are on their Sunday service schedules but start earlier at around 6 am
If a route doesn’t normally operate on Sundays, there is no service on March 29, 2024.
GO Transit: GO Transit is on a Sunday schedule for Good Friday which means trains and buses operate on the Sunday timetable for each route.
Not all GO Transit routes have weekend service so you need to check a route’s specific schedule for information about service on March 29.
